Sunlight: Aralia requires full sunlight or partial shade conditions. Plants prefer sheltered location as harsh winds can burn the leaves. These plants also grow well in indirect bright sunlight making them good semi shade plants. During summer the plant sheds leaves and becomes dull, but during rainy season they rejuvenate again.
Watering: Normal watering, once daily especially during hot and dry weather. During winter watering once every two days is fine. Soil should dry out between waterings as plants won’t tolerate soggy soil. Water quantity also depends on the size of the planter.
Soil: Aralia requires porous well draining soil, as water stagnation would cause leaf fall and the plants may die.
Best suited pot: 4 inch – 10 inch pot would be best suited for this indoor plant. Black pottery, Terracotta, Jaipur Blue Pottery and Ceramic will enhance the beauty of the plant.
Fertilisers: Fertilize once every two months during spring and summer.
