Description
Sunlight: When growing Dieffenbachia (also called Dumbcane), most varieties do best in a filtered light situation, where bright to moderate light shines through a sheer curtain or other filtering window cover. This plant grows well in semi shade and shade conditions.
Watering: Normal watering, once daily. Plant the dumbcane in a well-draining soil and water lightly, keeping the soil consistently moist, but not soggy.
Soil: Good fertile, well draining deep soils are recommended.
Best suited pot: 8 inch – 15 inch pot would be best suited for this indoor plant. Black Terracotta pottery, Terracotta and Ceramic will enhance the beauty of the plant.
Fertilizers: When growing dumbcane dieffenbachia, fertilize twice a month to encourage growth and a healthy plant. A houseplant food high in nitrogen can be applied at half strength.
