WATERMELON PEPEROMIA PLANT

Sunlight: Grows well under indirect sunlight in semi shade/shade conditions. Direct sunlight should be avoided. Best location would be near window, living room, bedroom etc where there is sufficient amount of brightness available. One of the best indoor plants. If the plant is in complete shade then it needs to be taken into sun at-least once in a week.

Watering: Normal watering, once daily. Avoid over-watering or under-watering. To get watering just about right, allow the soil to dry to the touch at the top and then water. Water alternate days during winter. If plants are wilting in spite of regular watering, then it means the roots are not getting enough oxygen.

Soil: A peat based soil is best used that drains well. 2 parts peat and 1 part vermiculite in a standard potting mix is a good potting mix.

Best suited planter: 4 inch – 8 inch planter would be best suited for the plant. Black Terracotta pottery, Metal pottery, Jaipur blue pottery and Ceramic will enhance the beauty of the plant.

Fertilizers: During spring while plant is growing use diluted liquid fertilizer once every month.

Nature of the Planter: Basket Planter is made of ceramic material.This planter is in the shape of a bell, hence the name. The best location for this planter is outdoors and indoors. This planter is available in three different sizes including X-small, medium, large and in various colours.

Planter Care: This planter is made out of ceramic. A range of glazing and firing techniques are used to create different effects in the final product. The glazing seals the pottery and makes it water-proof, in addition to giving a glassy texture.

These planters are made of Ceramic and so if they are dropped they will break. So please try not to drop them. These planters are attractive and long lasting.

Water Capacity: Depending upon the plant Large planter can take upto 250ml of water, medium size can take 200ml and X-small size can take 10ml of water.

Potting Mix: The Large planter would require 1 kg of potting mix, medium planter requires 500 gm and xtra small requires 100 gm of potting mix. Depending on the type of plant, the potting mix ratios and ingredients would vary accordingly. The mix mentioned here is standard mix consisting of red soil, manure, neem cake, vermi compost and perlite. And almost 80% of plants do well with the standard potting mix.
