Description
Sunlight : Table Lemon grows well in direct sunlight, it loves the sun. Place the lemon trees in a location with eight or more hours of direct sunlight each day.
Watering : Requires regular watering, daily twice – the tree loves water and should not be dried out. Container lemon trees also need high humidity. Place your lemon tree over a pebble tray or mist it daily.
Soil : Requires well drained soil and potting mix, make sure there is a hole in the planter for the water to drain.
Best Suited Planter : Table Lemon grows well on the ground but adept nicely to grow in containers. Planter sizes can vary between 10 inch to 14 inch planters may also be used. Terracotta, Black Terracotta, Metal and Ceramic planters enhance the beauty of the plant. As the tree grows, it will need re-potting every year with fresh soil.
Fertilizers : Fertilizer is also key to growing a healthy lemon tree in a pot. Use a slow release fertilizer to make sure that your lemon tree gets consistent nutrients. Lemon trees should be fertilized no more than four times a year and should not be fertilized in the coolest season when it is not in active growth.
