MONEY PLANT GREEN
Sunlight: Money plant green grows well under indirect sunlight, shade and semi-shade conditions. It is mainly grown indoors under bright indirect sunlight — they do well in bright indirect light as well as low light. For this houseplant there is no one best location, it can be grown anywhere inside or outside the home or office.
Watering: Normal watering, once daily. They can survive just in water vases without soil as well for years. But cuttings started in one growing medium have hard time switching to other. The quantity of water depends on the size of the planter.
Soil: They can be grown in dry soil or in vases of water. They will thrive in nutrient rich soil, but do almost as well in nutrient poor soil, any soil is good.
Best suited planters: 3 inch – 10 inch pot would be best suited for the plant. Terracotta, Black Terracotta pottery, Metal pottery, Jaipur blue pottery and Ceramic will enhance the beauty of the plant. As Money plant golden is a climber/creeper it will also look good in hanging and wall planters.
Fertilizers: Fertilize once every 3 months for quick growth. Even without fertilizers the plant growth would be good enough. They are generally free from pests and diseases.
Nature of the Planter: U Planter is made of blue pottery material. This planter is in the shape of a “U”, hence the name. The best location for this planter is indoors and outdoors. This planter is available in various design patterns.
Planter Care: The ‘dough’ for the pottery is prepared by mixing quartz stone powder, powdered glass, Multani Mitti (Fuller’s Earth), borax, gum and water. No clay is used.
A range of glazing and firing techniques are used to create different effects in the final product. The glazing seals the pottery and makes it water-proof, in addition to giving a glassy texture.
Jaipur Blue pottery will break when dropped, so please try not to drop them. These planters are attractive and long lasting.
Water Capacity: This planter can take 20ml of water depending upon the plant.
Best suited Tray: A round ceramic tray of 3 inch width is suitable for this planter.
Potting Mix: This planter would require 250 gm of potting mix. Depending on the type of plant, the potting mix ratios and ingredients would vary accordingly. The mix mentioned here is standard mix consisting of red soil, manure, neem cake, vermi compost and perlite. And almost 80% of plants do well with the standard potting mix. Also please reference the plants you are buying for clear understanding.
